MSHB acquires specialist division of Lindsays for undisclosed sum
SCOTTISH legal practice Miller Samuel Hill Brown (MSHB) has acquired the licensing division of Lindsays for an undisclosed sum, creating what is claimed to be the largest legal licensing team in Scotland.
Hill Brown Licensing, MSHB’s specialist licensing division, will comprise a team of 12 operating from offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The move is said to follow a strategic decision by Lindsays to focus on its other key specialisms.
Audrey Junner, partner at Hill Brown Licensing, said the firm is “delighted to announce the expansion” and “equally delighted to be extending our services to our new client base”.
“We look forward to developing strong business relationships with all concerned and anticipate a smooth transition for both clients and team members alike,” said Junner.
Peter Lawson, also partner at Hill Brown Licensing, added that “by adding to our department, we have greatly strengthened our offering thus ensuring we continue to deliver an exceptional service to our licensed trade clients, while supporting our future growth ambitions”.
The acquisition of Lindsays’ licensing division follows the merger of Hill Brown and Miller Samuel on February 29 of this year. The two firms joined forces to form one of the largest independent legal practices in Glasgow.
