CORNHILL House Hotel has changed hands for an undisclosed sum in a deal brokered by Smith & Clough Business Associates.
The property, near Biggar in Lanarkshire, was acquired by Manorview Hotels & Leisure Group, which has since renamed it Cornhill Castle. Over the years the hotel has been developed to include “exceptional” function and banqueting facilities, which have made it a popular wedding venue.
Graeme Smith, of Smith & Clough, who handled the sale on behalf of John and Mae Fraioli, said there is scope for the new owner to develop the property further as there is planning permission for extra bedrooms and self-catering chalets.
