A FRASERBURGH bar has netted a top award for live sport and entertainment.
Cheers Café Bar & Tavern, winner of the SLTN Beer Quality Award for 2012, has been named Sky’s Ultimate Venue in Scotland and the north of England.
Run through Sky’s Preview Live website, the competition sought to recognise operators who are “proactive and innovative” in how they attract customers.
The broadcaster said the Aberdeenshire pub came out on top because it offers “something for everyone”.
Cheers owner Dennis Forsyth said the bar is “very flexible”. “We give our customers plenty of choice, from sports, entertainment and news,” he said.
“We are very much into accessibility and inclusion and make a great effort to ensure we appeal to the widest market possible by doing everything we can for the community.”
