O Sole Mio, a well-established restaurant on Bath Street in Glasgow, is now on the market through Christie & Co.
Just a few minutes’ walk from Buchanan Street and Buchanan Galleries, O Sole Mio sits in the middle of Glasgow’s shopping and business district, where it is something of an Italian food institution, popular for pre-theatre dining, office lunches and social gatherings.
Known for serving up fine pasta, pizza and seafood it has been trading for over 60 years, and its lease is now coming to the market due to retirement.
The 52-cover restaurant, with fully fitted commercial kitchen and outside seating, has recently been refurbished to a high standard throughout.
Christie & Co suggested that there is an opportunity for a new operator to continue growing the business by introducing food delivery platforms to complement the existing dine-in and takeaways trade.
Associate director Tony Spence said: “We are delighted to be acting for our client who is now selling for a well-deserved retirement.
“They have been involved in the business for over 60 years and are extremely keen for it to go to the right operator who will take it to the next level.”
The lease for the restaurant is being marketed with an asking price of £195,000 and annual rent of £30,000.
