Experienced operators are being invited to consider taking on leases at two recently acquired Scotsman Group sites in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Christie & Co is marketing the leases for The Hampton, on Corstorphine Road in Edinburgh, and 8 Ruthven Lane, off Byers Road in Glasgow, which was formerly the Hanoi Bike Club, one of three west end venues sold by the Clydesdale family to Greene King back in 2022.
The Hampton, located directly opposite Murrayfield Stadium, is described as a ‘charming Georgian townhouse’, containing a bar, restaurant, and six en suite letting bedrooms.
Said to be a popular choice for local regulars and match-day goers as well as tourists and visiting guests, The Hampton previously operated under a national pubco and has reportedly enjoyed a reputation as a destination business for many years.

8 Ruthven Lane is a licensed restaurant unit in the heart of Glasgow’s West End, with an 80 covers capacity plus an external seating area.
Having traded as a Vietnamese canteen until recently, Christies suggested that the space would suit ‘a variety of concepts’, as the area is a destination for ‘foodies’ and late-night bar goers, and benefits from high student footfall.
Both venues have recently been acquired by the Scotsman Group, which is seeking new tenants.
Simon Watson and Tony Spence at Christie & Co said: “We are delighted to be acting on behalf of the Scotsman Group to secure an experienced operator who is prepared to create an exceptional offering from either location.
“Both sites are well-placed in great locations and benefit from high levels of passing trade. We would urge any interested parties to get in touch for further information.”
