Top-selling flavoured cider brand Old Mout has launched a multi-fount draught system designed to deliver three consumer-favourite cider varieties from a single tap.

Cider has been the fastest-growing drinks category in the on-trade over the past two years, and premium flavoured cider now reportedly account for 1 in 10 draught cider sales.

Leaning into these trends, Old Mout’s ‘Flavourwave’ fount offers operators a means of serving three Old Mout flavours – Berries & Cherries, Pineapple & Raspberry, and Kiwi & Lime – from a single spot on their bars.

Brand owner Heineken UK said: “Data shows outlets that introduce premium flavoured draught cider experience an average uplift of 572 serves per year.

“Old Mout is set to have an excellent year, with sales from the start of this year already being up an impressive 48%, compared to 2024, and the new Flavourwave fount is perfectly positioned to help operators unlock this growth potential.

“With 64% of consumers stating that warm weather draws them to order cider at the pub, it’s arrived just in time for the peak cider summer period – perfect for driving both sales and footfall.”

Outlets taking on the Old Mout Cider Flavourwave system will receive stand-out POS to drives further awareness of the three flavours available on tap. This kit includes bar staff t-shirts, drip mats, tent cards and a case of Old Mout’s newly designed pint glass.

Mini Mouts!

Venues can further drive trial – and some theatre – through ‘Mini Mouts’, a Flavourwave flight board that allows consumers to try each Old Mout flavour for the price of one pint.

Cider brand director at Heineken UK, Rachel Holms, said: “As one of the UK’s leading flavoured cider brands, we want to continue to surprise and delight our customers with new and exciting innovations – and Flavourwave promises to do just that.

“A ground-breaking technological advance for the on-trade, we want to continue to tap into the opportunities that the premium flavoured cider market presents, whilst offering operators a new way to drum up engagement in-venue in these warmer months and beyond.”
