Goblin Ha’ Hotel, a historic hospitality business on the main street of Gifford, in East Lothian, is up for sale through Christie & Co.
The property is named after the ‘Goblin Hall’ hidden beneath the nearly 800-year-old Yester Castle which is located nearby. The village itself dates back to the 17th Century, and is located approximately eight kilometres south of Haddington, around a 45-minute drive from Edinburgh.
Goblin Ha’ Hotel comprises a bar, restaurant and a function room, as well as a beer garden for outdoor drinking and dining.
There are seven ensuite letting bedrooms, and six-bedroom living accommodation historically used by the owners.
Christie & Co’s Simon Watson said: “This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a historic business in the beautiful East Lothian village of Gifford.
“It offers huge potential to develop the letting rooms, as well as develop part of the property to create a residential house. The business will suit a variety of operators or groups.”
The pub is currently closed and is on the market for offers over £800,000.
