Rosely Country House Hotel, on the outskirts of Arbroath, is for sale through Graham + Sibbald.
Described as an ‘outstanding 14-bedroom baronial style hotel’ with an abundance of period features, Rosely Country House Hotel sits on its own four-acre plot in the Angus countryside.
Having been owned by the same family for the last 44 years, G + S suggested that its arrival on the market was ‘an incredible opportunity’ for a new owner to create a truly special boutique destination hotel.
The current owners, Anna Maria Palmieri and family, commented: “We will always be grateful to have been caretakers of the Rosely for the past 44 years. Decades of hard work have given us many long-lasting memories.
“As well as a business the hotel has been a very happy family home and we hope that the new owners have as much fun as we have.”
The property has several characterful public areas – a lounge bar with separate events room, a dining room, a gentleman’s games room, a resident’s lounge and a glassed orangery and has been well cared for, creating a great asset for the new owner to build.
G + S speculated that the property could become an ‘extravagant wedding venue’, or build upon its existing F&B operation to attract custom from the nearby Royal Marines Condor and Carnoustie golf course.
The firm’s director of hotel + leisure, Peter Seymour, said: “This iconic hotel has been owned by the same family for the last 40 years and as retirement nears they have left behind a fantastic property.”
Graham + Sibbald are inviting offers in the region of £1,400,000 for the Heritable interest.
