An award-winning Indian restaurant in Dundee is under new management after the sale of the venue’s leasehold.
Dil’se has been owned and operated by the Rouf family since 2003 and is said to be popular with tourists, locals and students.
Simon Watson, business agent at Christie & Co, who negotiated the sale of the leasehold, said: “On behalf of the Rouf family we are delighted to acquire local operators to reopen and continue the legacy of Dil’se Restaurant.
“I would like to thank legal teams on both side for their hard work to complete the deal and I look forward to revisiting Dil’se when it reopens.”
The Rouf family added: “Dil’se was built by Abdur and Michael Rouf in 2003 at a cost of £1.8m and has won the Civic Trust Award for best new building and the British Curry Award on multiple occasions over the years. We are very proud of what we have achieved and wish the new tenants all the best in continuing the legacy of Dil’se.”
