In an effort to highlight the growing popularity of non-alcoholic spirits as a post work drink, Edinburgh’s Talonmore Non Alcoholic Spirit has created a series of bespoke cocktails in tandem with the world famous Angostura Bitters brand.
The popularity of wellness drinks is reportedly at an all-time high, with many consumers – particularly younger generations – cutting back on alcohol and prioritising their mental health.
With an eye on that ‘self care’ trend, Talonmore called on Edinburgh independent cocktail bar Nightcap to create a range of serves marrying Talonmore’s fiery ginger-forward flavour with Angostura’s ‘bouquet of fruits, spices and herbs’.
First up, the ‘Talon-Bru’ is Talonmore’s hometown inspired creation infused with Irn Bru, served in a coupe and topped with Angostura Orange Bitters.
For fans of a refreshing longer serve, the ‘Tamos & Cream’ sees pistachio cream and Angostura Original Bitters strained over an ice wedge.
Finally, an all-black everything serve, the ‘Talon Taboo’ welcomes blackberry to the forefront followed by cardamom, oolong tea with a Angostura Cocoa Bitters finish.
Managing director at Talonmore Drinks Company, Lewis Kennedy, said: “Whilst alcohol has its place in social situations, our new collaboration with Angostura highlights how Talonmore is a perfect post-work serve to wind down with after a busy day.
“What Talonmore does is offer choice. That’s what we’re all about. The joy we get from teaming-up with a giant like Angostura Bitters and creating bespoke cocktails with specialists like Nightcap is exactly why we started our brand.
“We want to show consumers that there’s a choice to have a delicious non-alcoholic serve after work, it doesn’t always have to involve alcohol.”
Talonmore has been in the headlines recently with a £80,000 funding win at Scottish Edge, a wholesale deals with Inverarity Morton and listings secured across the Montpelier Group, including Edinburgh’s city-centre bars Tigerlily, Indigo Yard and Rabble, as well as a brand-new listing with UK-wide Harvey Nicols and a slot booked at the Edinburgh’s Foodies Festival.
Its liquid is 0% ABV and brewed with Scottish water; using ginger and Assam tea, it contains key ‘superfoods’ including prickly pear and hawthorn berry.
