Brewdog, the Scottish craft brewer, distiller and bars group, has expanded its rum range ahead of the summer season with the launch of new white rum, Duo.
The new 40% ABV spirit – which joins the existing Duo spiced rum and spiced rum with caramelised pineapple – has been produced using molasses from the Caribbean.
It’s described as having flavours of tropical fruits such as pineapple and guava as well as notes of caramel, toffee and vanilla.
“We have been making our white rum for a while now, as it’s used in our Wonderland canned mojitos,” said BrewDog Distilling Co managing director, Steven Kearsley.
“This is the first time we’ve bottled and released the liquid as its own standalone brand. We think white rum is somewhat untapped, and ours is a wonderful expression of how aromatic and flavourful this style of rum can be. Smooth and subtly complex, with notes of toffee and tropical fruits, DUO White will stop you in your tracks.”
