The Atholl in Aberdeen is an impressive opportunity

THE Atholl, an independent hotel and restaurant close to Aberdeen city centre, is now up for sale through Bruce & Co.

Originally known as ‘Hazelhurst’, the property was built in 1892 as a private residence, then sold in 1900 and extended in 1910. Hazelhurst became a private unlicensed hotel in 1946 before being granted a full license in 1963 under the name of the Atholl Hotel.

With 34 rooms with ensuite facilities, as well as two impressive function suites available for conferences and private dining, the hotel has capacity for over 60 overnight guests and can accommodate up to 200 across the function rooms, restaurant, bar, and lounge.

Its restaurant and lounge bar are known locally for efficient and friendly service and excellent traditional food, while out-of-town visitors will find it has ample parking and is perfectly placed to explore Aberdeen City, or the many castles, golf courses and beaches nearby.

The Atholl currently enjoys a four-star rating from Visit Scotland. It is offered to the market for £3.5m upwards.
