BRIGHTON Gin was one of the premium spirits producers celebrating Pride Month last month with the launch of a limited edition Pride bottle.
The award-winning craft gin distillery marked the beginning of Pride Season 2023 with a new bottle design inspired by the Inclusive Pride flag, originally re-designed by Intersex-equality campaigner & artist Valentino Vecchietti.
“It’s always a very proud and exciting moment when we launch our limited–edition Pride bottles,” said Kathy Caton, founder of Brighton Gin. “This year, the team wanted to create a design that celebrates both the diversity within the business and of the wider LGBTIQA+ community, and the progress that has been made in the fight for equality and equity, and that celebrates the value of allyship and support within our community.”
For every bottle sold, Brighton Gin will donate £1 to the Rainbow Fund, the local grant-giving organisation that supports LGBTIQA+ and HIV+ organisations in Brighton and Hove.
Caton added: “We are one of the very few LGBTQ+-founded, owned and run distilleries not just in the UK, but in the world. With 70% of our team coming from the LGBTIQA+ community and with our belief in the value of the circular economy and giving back, we’re all very proud to be both celebrating the Inclusive Pride flag and supporting the Rainbow Fund.”
