LEGENDARY London bartender Wayne Collins has been immortalised in a new range of ready-to-drink cocktails which combines Japanese sake with fruit flavours and botanicals.
Collins, the renowned bartender, spokesman and trainer, passed away earlier this year. Before he died he collaborated with sake producer Daimon Brewery and drinks agency Liquid Fusion to create the Sake Sling range of cocktails.
There are two flavours: Yuzu & Melon and Mandarin & Cherry. Both have an ABV of 5.5% and are packaged in 250ml cans.
“You only need to look at the incredible tributes of love and respect for him, and what he did for cocktails and the bartending profession in the UK and abroad, to understand what an incredibly influential, generous and warm figure Wayne was, and how much he will be missed,” said a statement from Daimon Brewery.
“Like countless others, we are so grateful for our professional association with Wayne, as well as our personal friendship.
“We will continue with our launch of Sake Sling, a brand of which he was very proud and which benefited enormously from Wayne’s expertise and passion for perfection.”
