‘Authentic cider maker’ Westons has tapped into growing consumer demand for cocktail-inspired ciders with the addition of a Tropical Cloudy Cider to its popular Rosie’s Pig range.
With notes of pineapple and coconut, the new drink is described as a sweet and elegant serve ideal for the warmer months. In line with the rest of the Rosie’s Pig range, the new variant is available in a 10L bag-in-box format.
“Cocktails have fuelled post-Covid growth in spirits, but we know they are time-consuming for outlets,” said Gemma Evans, Rosie’s Pig brand manager.
“This exotic new flavour offers a quick and practical way for pubs and bars to provide drinkers with a delicious tropical drink without the need for complicated cocktail making.
“Offering a fun fruity serve, like our new Rosie’s Pig Tropical, alongside a premium apple cider on draught, enables venues to tap into seasonal trends guaranteed to drive profits as we head into the warmer months,” said Ms Evans.
“A fantastic solution in terms of shelf life, volume and price, bag-in-box formats can be dispensed on a hand-pull through the cellar, from the fridge or even at room temperature directly from the bar.”
At 4% ABV, this latest addition joins Weston’s existing range of hazy ciders, including Rosie’s Pig Cloudy Cider, Cloudy Cider with Rhubarb, and Cloudy Cider with Raspberry, all available for on-trade customers nationwide.
