Delevingne sisters prepare a big push for their Prosecco

DELLA VITE, an award-winning Prosecco brand founded by the celebrity Delevingne sisters, has successfully closed a ÂŁ3 million funding round aimed at accelerating its growth in the UK, the US, and Europe.

The brand is the first joint venture between sisters Chloe, Poppy and Cara Delevingne, in collaboration with a third-generation wine-making family based within the Prosecco region of Valdobbiadene, Northern Italy.

Launched in autumn 2020 with two wines – Della Vite Prosecco Superiore DOCG, made from hand-picked grapes from Valdobiaddene, and the Rosé D.O.C Millesimato, which blends 11% Pinot Nero with 89% Glera – the brand promises to fuse the latest technology with traditional production methods to produce a high-quality, vegan-certified and sustainable Prosecco range.

This latest investment round was led by Miguel and Laura Riascos, founders of La Hechicera, a craft rum on which they partnered with Pernod Ricard in 2021. Miguel and Laura will now be joining the Della Vite board to contribute their experience to the management team led by co-founder and CEO, Numa Heathcote.

Mr Heathcote said: “This is the best possible development at a pivotal moment on our journey. We have strengthened our balance sheet, we’re incredibly excited to add Miguel and Laura’s expertise to our team’s, and this puts us in the strongest possible position to accelerate our growth in all markets.”

Miguel and Laura added: “We’re very excited to join this incredible brand and team. There’s just so much potential in the category to explore globally.”

The Delevingne sisters commented: “Launching a business as sisters has been a life’s ambition. We’ve loved the journey so far, and we can’t wait to welcome Laura and Miguel to the family and take Della Vite to the next level.”
