Ayr’s Wallace Bar has just become a bigger bargain

THE Wallace bar in Ayr has just become an even better proposition after selling agent Shepherd reduced the asking price.

Originally marketed for offers over £195,000, the pub is now on the market for offers over £160,000.

A traditional wet-led pub, the Wallace is described as ‘an established and profitable business’ which is being marketed so the current owner can retire.

Located north of Ayr town centre in an area with a mix of residential and commercial properties, the pub is said to have only limited competition in the immediate area.

The pub includes a public bar, servery/prep area on the ground floor and a lounge bar on the lower ground floor.

“The owner operates the bar with a pool of four part-time staff and the business is 100% wet sales based,” said Shepherd partner Kevin Bell.

“Accounts information will be made available to genuinely interested parties after viewing, however, there are no rates payable in the current financial year and the annual barrelage before the COVID 19 lockdown was around 200.”
