RESTAURATEURS eyeing an Edinburgh opportunity may want to take a look at the Apiary Restaurant (including the Wine Hive) which is now available in the city’s Newington area.
The previous owners, after nearly ten years operating from the former bank premises on Newington Road, have opted to sell the business, while retaining two smaller restaurants in Bruntsfield and Broughton Street.
This frees up the bigger space at the Apiary – nearly 1500 sq ft on one level – in a prime residential and student location with high visibility.
The Restaurant Agency is handling the sale, where director Alan Goldie commented: “This is a somewhat rare opportunity to acquire and operate a substantial restaurant business on the south side of the city.
“With space for up 60 covers inside, the Apiary with its unique listed building status and rustic interior will appeal to many Edinburgh and Glasgow operators looking to expand their ventures in this popular part of the City.”
The passing rent will be £27,500 per annum.
