A HOTEL and wedding venue in the Borders town of Selkirk is up for sale.
Set in four acres of landscaped gardens, Philipburn House Hotel has 20 en suite bedrooms and a bar and restaurant with 100 covers. There’s also a function suite which can accommodate 200 guests and a pavilion with space for 80 as well as a meeting room which can accommodate 24 people.
Originally built in 1751 as the dower house to Philiphaugh Estate, the property has been operated as a hotel for 50 years, with the current owners having expanded the business since they took over in 2007.
Selling agent, Bruce & Co, said the hotel “occupies an excellent location” in the Borders and is close to the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow.
