BEER and cider producer KBE Drinks has made its first move into premium spirits with the introduction of Makai Spiced Rum.
Makai has an ABV of 40% and is priced at £30 a bottle.
Chief operating officer Shaun Goode said: “We’re so excited to be entering the spirits category.
“Working closely with a master blender, we’ve been able to develop a spice-forward rum that enters us into the category with a bold liquid to really set us apart from the crowd.”
KBE has also been appointed UK distributor for Blackland, a Texan-based distillery which produces a range including Pecan Brown Sugar Bourbon.
