AN Italian restaurant in the South Lanarkshire town of Carluke has changed hands for the first time in 30 years.
The 90-cover La Piazza restaurant was sold on behalf of Angelo Palazzo for an undisclosed sum to Taal Restaurant Ltd in a deal brokered by Christie & Co.
Tony Spence, business agent at Christie & Co who handled the sale, said: “La Piazza is well known within the community and has built a great reputation with the local clientele, so it’s great to see it passing over to enthusiastic new owners.
“We wish them all the best with their new venture and hope Angelo Palazzo can now enjoy a restful retirement.”
