Who will go with the Flow?

The Foveran has a bar restaurant and eight guest bedrooms.

A RESTAURANT with rooms overlooking Orkney’s Scapa Flow has come onto the market for the first time in two decades.

Located just three miles from Kirkwall, The Foveran is described as a thriving business comprising an 80-cover bar and restaurant and eight letting bedrooms. Included in the sale is a detached three-bedroom house and approximately seven acres of land.

The Foveran, which has been in the hands of the Doull family for over 20 years, is said to have built up an “enviable reputation for its wonderful food and service”.

Tony Spence, business agent at Christie & Co, which is marketing The Foveran at £1,295,000, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for a purchaser to acquire a highly profitable business that has been refurbished to a high standard. While Orkney enjoys a busy and expanding visitor season, The Foveran also benefits from a strong local customer base, ensuring year-round trade and making it an excellent proposition for anyone in hospitality planning a move.”
