SWEDISH cider giant Kopparberg is dressing for the summer season with a new limited edition label design.
Launched last month on the brand’s 500ml Strawberry & Lime, Mixed Fruit and Pear variants, the labels were designed by Ravensbourne University student Ben McKay after he won a competition run by the producer.
In addition to using McKay’s designs on its summer labels, Kopparberg will also pay the student’s final year tuition fees and provide him with an internship at a creative agency.
The company is running the competition again as it looks to find designs for next year’s limited edition labels.
The contest launched in April and runs until the end of August.
“Our Strawberry & Lime, Mixed Fruit and Pear flavoured ciders are the category bestsellers and are in for a huge summer in 2022, just like our limited edition Mixed Fruit Tropical did last year,” said Kopparberg head of marketing, Rob Salvesen.
“Our bestsellers provided Ben with an amazing platform to show off his creativity. Given the success of this year’s competition, we look forward to seeing submissions for its second year and are excited to create even more firsts that last.”
