BUSHMILLS, the Irish single malt, has unveiled a new packaging design inspired by the famous Giant’s Causeway.
The new-look bottles have an angular shape inspired by the hexagonal columns of the causeway, with the label of each expression sporting a different colour.
The 10 year old whiskey is packaged in an aqua green label, with the 16 year old expression sporting a maroon label and the 21 year old in mushroom grey.
The side panels of each bottle feature an embossed pot still and a homage to Bushmills’ 1608 heritage.
The new packaging coincides with the appointment of a new Bushmills master blender.
Alex Thomas has taken over from Helen Mulholland, who worked for Bushmills for almost 30 years.
Thomas said the Old Bushmills Distillery “is a very special place and I’m excited to explore my passion for developing new whiskeys and experimenting with different casks and flavours, while still maintaining the iconic Bushmills taste and quality”.
