Who will eye up new opportunity?

New owner sought for ‘highly profitable’ Eye Sleep Over hotel

A NEW owner is being sought for a hotel in the Berwickshire town of Eyemouth.

Occupying a prominent position off the main A1 route between Edinburgh and Newcastle, Eye Sleep Over is described as a “highly profitable” and “easily operated” accommodation business.

The “modern budget hotel” comprises 24 en suite bedrooms and a “bright and airy” lobby with seating and a coffee machine.

Set in a plot of around 1.2 acres, the hotel was built by the current owner in 2008; the property is now being marketed with a guide price of £895,000 by Cornerstone Business Agents.

The property firm’s Barry McNeil and David Higgins, who are handling the sale, said Eye Sleep Over offers a new owner huge scope to develop what has already been established.

“It is a pleasure to help our client to sell their business – the hotel is offered in superb condition, currently running profitably but with huge scope for new owners to improve business,” said McNeil.

“The premises was built in 2008 and opened in 2009 and fitted out to budget hotel style with a total of 24 letting bedrooms.”
