If you are a passionate hospitality professional looking to run an epic pub to suit your personality and ambitions, then doing your research is fundamental. The pub company you’re working with must be a safe pair of hands, with a leading reputation in the industry and a proven track record of supporting successful businesses. They also need that quintessential human touch, matching each pub with the perfect operator to satiate the needs of a community. That’s why at Punch Pubs and Co, we are all about pubs, people, and possibilities.
Why choose a Management Partnership (MP) with Punch?
We put you first. Right from the very start of the recruitment process, we seek to learn all about your experience to date, your passion for pubs and, of course, you as a person.
Why? Because we’re looking for charismatic personalities. That’s right! We’re a people-first company. You don’t necessarily have to have run a pub in the past. If you’re a General Manager or Publican who would love to work closely with a best in class Operations Manager, then a Punch Management Partnership Agreement is the one for you. You bring the talent, imagination, and charisma, and we’ll bring the rest. The beauty of a Management Partnership with Punch is that you will get out of your business what you put in.
Running a pub via Punch’s Management Partnership agreement is comparable to driving a car with an essential source of support and knowledge always accompanying you in the passenger seat. You’re not alone.
What to expect:
- You’ll get an agreed percentage of the sales ranging from ÂŁ20k – ÂŁ60k+ depending on the size of the pub.
- You’ll get a 2% industry-leading bonus.
- We’ll pay for your living accommodation, including all bills and maintenance.
- We’ll provide you with all food, menus, marketing, Apps and EPOS.
- You’ll receive award-winning training in our state-of-the-art Academy at Head Office.
Why launch an MP pub with Punch in Scotland?
The Barony Bar is the first pub in Scotland to join Punch’s Management Partnership division, with operator Les Greenhalgh at the helm in August 2021, and its success is undeniable.
The building was first a drinks merchant in 1896, before becoming a pub, and it has been a staple of the Edinburgh drinks scene ever since. Brewery mirrors, high-vaulted ceilings, open fires, and hand-painted 19th-century tiles are amongst the intricate architectural nuances to discover.
Management Partner, Les Greenhalgh, explains why this bar has been such a success: “Punch’s ÂŁ120KÂ investment, with its attention to detail and respect for traditional features whilst creating a high spec modern aesthetic, has brought the pub back to life. Guests have loved returning to this Scottish pub steeped in history to enjoy great beer and delicious food. Many memories have been both shared and made here.”
In December 2021, we launched two more Management Partnerships in Scotland: Town Tavern in Glasgow and the Cherry Tree in Wishaw. Now, we are recruiting the optimum operator for the Broadstraik Inn in Aberdeen.
