A NEW restaurant and cocktail bar is set to make its mark in Bruntsfield after the former Thrive premises changed hands.
Saffron is the brainchild of Haroon Ali and Jasmine Ghazanfar who secured the lease during lockdown in a deal brokered by The Restaurant Agency and went on to refurbish the outlet to bring their concept to life.
Alan Goldie, director of The Restaurant Agency who handled the sale of the former Thrive restaurant on behalf of James MacGregor, said: “Following significant inward investment in the business and property Saffron has emerged into one of Edinburgh’s most vibrant eating and drinking scenes in the heart of Bruntsfield offering both sit-in and outside tables for its customers.”
