THE flavours and aromas of the festive season are said to be found in a new limited edition small-batch gin from Gordon & MacPhail.
Red Door Highland Gin with Winter Botanicals was released last week, with only 6000 70cl bottles made available.
The first expression from a new range of seasonal gins, the 45% ABV spirit is described as combining botanicals, including allspice and blood orange, in a gin which reflects the winter months with flavour notes of “warm citrus and Christmas cake”.
Lizzie Haw, Red Door Highland Gin’s flavour expert, said the spirit would make the “perfect addition” to a winter drinks selection.
“This seasonal edition with winter botanicals is the first of our special releases, carefully created to showcase how festive flavours like allspice and sultanas combine with the classic notes from our core gin, such as sea buckthorn,” she added.
