NEW owners have reopened The Tomich Hotel near Cannich, Beauly, after it was sold in a deal brokered by property firm ASG Commercial.
Closed at the time of purchase, the eight-bedroom hotel was snapped up by Peter Small and his wife.
The property is said to offer “spectacular, panoramic views” of the surrounding mountains and forests.
Small said: “The complexities of buying a non-trading hotel were somewhat greater than acquiring a going concern, but the benefits of such are that we can stamp our own personality on the [business].”
Jackie MacGregor of ASG Commercial, which handled the sale of the business, said: “The upsurge in hospitality acquisitions across the Highlands is very encouraging. The sector is thriving and many businesses are generating sound year-on-year increases in profitability; now has never been a better time to buy in the sector.”
The hotel was sold from an asking price of offers over £425,000; the final sale price was not disclosed.
