THE operator behind Buck’s Bar in Glasgow is expanding his business after acquiring the leasehold to a second outlet in the city.
Michael Bergson, who has operated his West Regent Street bar, which specialises in chicken, bourbon and rock music, since 2016, is bringing the US-inspired concept to the city’s Trongate area, close to the bustling Merchant City.
Housed in the former Isola Sarda, the unit is located next to various restaurants and bars, including Charcoals, Boteco Do Brasil and Maggie May’s.
Kevin Hunter, surveyor at CDLH, which handled the sale of the lease to Bergson, said: “We are delighted to have secured a new long term lease at 96 Trongate, on behalf of the landlord, to an established, existing operator.
“We let the original Buck’s Bar on West Regent Street back in 2016 and after great success it’s fantastic to see their concept of chicken, liquor and rock and roll expand across the city.”
