New opportunity for a Glass act

Last of three units in Glasgow development available

The Glass HouseOPERATORS keen to be part of a purpose-built licensed leisure development in Glasgow’s Merchant City might be interested in a ground floor unit which is available to lease.

The 7533 sq ft premises is part of the former Tiger Tiger and Mansion House bar, restaurant and nightclub venues on Glassford Street, which has been redeveloped as three separate units within The Glass House complex.

The first floor unit has been let to a “boutique city centre bowling concept”, while the basement space is home to a 500-capacity live music venue.

Selling agent CDLH said the ground floor premises, which has an annual rent of £90,000, would be ideally suited to a bar/restaurant due to its pavement-level frontage.

The building, which also includes a Grosvenor Casino and a busy NCP car park, is close to Merchant Square, Buchanan Street and the Strathclyde University campus, while the new Candleriggs development site to the rear of The Glass House is set to become home to new apartments, student flats and hotel accommodation over the coming years.

Kevin Hunter of CDLH said: “It is anticipated that The Glass House will become one of the city centre’s most popular licensed destinations providing a range of licensed and leisure offerings within the complex.

“The ground floor unit provides a fantastic opportunity for a bar, restaurant or licensed leisure concept within a quality licensed complex.”
