Chilling out with an IPA

Mandarillo-Session-IPA
Mandarillo Session IPA is said to have a distinctive fruity flavour

A refreshing, highly drinkable beer with a distinctive fruity flavour is how the new pale ale from Denmark-based Theodor Schiøtz Brewing Co is described.

Mandarillo Session IPA, the latest addition to the firm’s Polar Monkeys range, carries an ABV of 4.2% and is brewed using a combination of Mandarina Bavaria hops, known for their fruity and citrus profile, and Amarillo hops, which impart floral, tropical and citrus characteristics into the beer.

The Polar Monkeys range, which is brewed in the Danish city of Odense, is said to have been borne out of the brewer’s desire to create easy-drinking beers with no fuss and impactful design.

Daniel Carlfeld Bjørk, Polar Monkeys brewmaster at Theodor Schiøtz Brewing Company, said: “We’re delighted to bring Polar Monkeys Mandarillo Session IPA to market, following its UK launch at Craft Beer Rising in London, where we received great feedback from those who sampled.

“Complementing the existing beers in the range, Mandarillo offers light and fruity flavours, balanced with pleasant malt tones throughout. A great craft beer to be enjoyed in a beer garden throughout the summer, we’re pleased to offer Polar Monkeys Mandarillo on draught and in 330ml stubby bottles.”

The beer is available in either 20-litre Polykeg format or in cases of 24x330ml bottles.
