‘Easy-carry’ glassware aims to ease queues this summer
New glassware designed to ease queues and make carrying up to four pints at once a more straightforward task has been launched by the owner of Carling.
The newly-designed glasses, created in partnership with BrandOpus, feature vertical grooves which interlock together, allowing pub-goers to carry multiple pints in one trip from the bar.
They are also wider at the top and thinner towards the middle, which Carling owner Molson Coors said creates “a natural gap for the hands to wrap around the glass more easily”.
The glasses also feature a nucleated base, designed to keep customers’ pints fresher for longer.
Our aim was to create the perfect glass for the perfect pint, whilst responding to consumer needs.
Miranda Osborne, brand director at Carling, commented: “Our aim was to create the perfect glass for the perfect pint, whilst responding to the needs of consumers.
“We know pub-goers can feel uncomfortable leaving drinks on the bar because they can’t carry them all.
“This is why we created our new easy-carry glasses. We hope people find getting pints in for friends a far more comfortable experience now.”
Martyn Cozens, on-trade sales director at Molson Coors, reckons the new glassware will help ease queues during the busy summer period.
“Consumer-facing innovations such as this will help reduce crowding and queuing around the bar, improving overall sales during busy periods,” he said.
“This will be key ahead of the bank holidays and big sporting events.”
