Drinks distributor Morgenrot has expanded its spirits portfolio by securing the UK distribution of Macaronesian ‘Eternal Spring’ Strawberry Gin from the Canary Islands.
Said to be inspired by the ‘eternal spring’ of the Canaries, the 37.5% ABV gin is made using the distillation of fine grains, volcanic rock water and strawberries; it is described as “creamy, fresh and elegant” on the palate.
Eternal Spring is the second line from the Macaronesian distiller and follows the roll out by Morgenrot in 2018 of a variety of Spanish gins available from the Canary Islands, Barcelona, Andalucia, Catalunya and Tarragona.
John Critchley, Morgenrot’s commercial director, said: “Flavoured gins are proving extremely popular with consumers and I believe this will hit all the right notes as the subtle sweet flavour of strawberries makes it so refreshing and perfect for a wide range of gin-based summer drinks and cocktails.”
