Chance to re-establish Stirlingshire village inn
A new owner is sought for a gastropub with letting rooms in the west Stirlingshire village of Kippen.
The Inn at Kippen, which is said to currently serve a range of seasonal dishes and craft beers, benefits from its close proximity to both Stirling and Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
Housed within an 18th century coaching inn, which has been extended at various points over the years, the inn comprises a lounge bar/restaurant, a small function suite – the Balgair Room – an “excellently-equipped commercial kitchen”, four en suite letting rooms, a staff room with shower, and a beer garden with an outdoor pizza oven.
It also includes owner’s accommodation, comprising two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The Inn at Kippen is one of central Scotland’s historically well-regarded gastropubs with rooms.
Sellling agent Graham & Sibbald said the business, which is currently run under management by a short-term operator until a long-term tenant is found, is “one of central Scotland’s historically well-regarded gastropubs with letting rooms”, offering prospective operators the chance to re-establish the inn and build upon its reputation.
The landlord is therefore said to be willing “to offer some incentives to allow a new tenant to establish themselves and the business before paying full market rent”, according to Graham & Sibbald.
Offers in the region of ÂŁ40,000 are sought for the leasehold, with a proposed rental of ÂŁ35,000 per annum.
