Yielding fruit in Pitlochry

The Orangery is now open

A NEW restaurant offering contemporary Scottish food with a focus on seasonal ingredients and local produce has opened in The Old Manse of Blair hotel, in Perthshire.

Launched by owners Anne and Archie MacDonald and headed up by Jonathan Greer, formerly of The Gleneagles Hotel and Ballathie House, The Orangery is described as “a family dining destination with a more sustainable, affordable offering”.

Guests can also step into the kitchen with the ‘chef’s table’ experience, which allows diners to “get up close to cooking in the kitchen”.

Chef Jonathan Greer said: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to put The Orangery on the culinary map in Scotland.”
