Portree-based hospitality group Perle Hotels has added to its portfolio of Scottish venues after purchasing The Lochardil Hotel in Inverness.
The hotel was purchased in a confidential, off-market transaction by the group and takes its number of hotels in Scotland to four.
Located five minutes from Inverness city centre, The Lochardil Hotel had been family-owned and operated for over 30 years by previous owners Eileen Fraser and Graeme MacBean, who have now retired.
The property comprises 12 bedrooms within the original building and a further 16 located in a modern, two-storey annex building.
Stuart Drysdale, director at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, said: “We were approached by the owners of The Lochardil Hotel to undertake a discreet marketing process as there was no rush to sell given the strong profit margins consistently recorded.
“We are confident Perle Hotels will be able to build upon the historic trading levels as Inverness continues to enjoy increased visitor numbers.”
