AN Inverness hotel has taken on an international flavour after being acquired by a Singapore-based real estate company.

The Craigmonie Hotel was bought by The Buxani Group as it looks to expand its UK hotels portfolio.

The hotel, which has 40 bedrooms, two restaurants, a lounge bar and function facilities, will be managed on Buxani’s behalf by Compass Hospitality.

Stuart Drysdale, director, hotels, at Christie & Co, who handled the sale, said: “The hotel has enjoyed healthy turnover levels and profits over the years and we are confident The Buxani Group will be able to build upon the historic trading levels as Inverness continues to enjoy increased visitor numbers.”

The Craigmonie Hotel was sold in an off-market transaction for an undisclosed sum.
