A CAFÉ in Edinburgh which is described as an “ideal starter business” for a couple or partnership has come on to the books of The Restaurant Agency.
The Pod café, on Viewforth Gardens in the suburb of Bruntsfield, is said to be in “walk-in condition” following a refurbishment 18 months ago.
Unlicensed at present, the unit comprises a commercial kitchen and space for 15 covers.
Alan Goldie, director of The Restaurant Agency, said The Pod “has a very low cost base and is an ideal starter business for a couple or partnership wanting to step into the catering scene and operate from an affordable unit in a prime location”.
He added that with a rent of less than £10,000 per annum, “it could be an ideal catering kitchen for a multi-site operator as back up for an outside catering company”.
The business is for sale on a lease basis; offers over £45,000 are sought for the leasehold interest, with a passing rent of £8250 per annum.
