Redhead redemption

Sherry Bomb

WHISKY fans might find themselves falling in love with a redhead following the launch of Smokehead Sherry Bomb.

The newest addition to the Smokehead range, Sherry Bomb is a heavily peated Islay single malt that has spent time in Oloroso sherry casks.

The limited edition release is bottled at 48% ABV and priced at £64.99.

It is described as a full-bodied whisky with a smoky, spicy and rich flavour.

Iain Weir, Smokehead brand director at parent company Ian Macleod Distillers, said: “We’re proud of our Smokehead Sherry Bomb expression.

“The whisky is more explosive than an Armada cannonball. It’s not for everyone, but if you’re after a bold, peaty whisky that’s been blasted by rich sherry casks, then this is the delicious taste explosion you’ve been waiting for.”

Sherry Bomb follows the launch of Smokehead High Voltage – a cask strength expression of the single malt – earlier this year.
