DOWNTOWN Los Angeles was the inspiration for the latest outlet by the group behind Glasgow venues The Butchershop, Hutchesons and The Spanish Butcher.
Rusk & Rusk has opened So LA – a 150-cover restaurant, bar and events space – on Mitchell Street, bringing the “vibrancy and diversity” of the west coast of America’s drinking and dining scene to Scotland. The interior is said to combine “raw and natural design elements”, while the food and drinks offer a taste of California.
James Rusk said: “California has always been a real pioneer when it comes to the culinary arts – from its extraordinary use of fresh produce to its rich and moody neon-lined interiors. So LA is a new concept that channels all of this and pushes the boundaries of our current offering.”
