A touch of glass this Christmas

Man pouring in glasses

AS vintage-style glasses for cocktails and sparkling wines are expected to be in demand this Christmas, glassware supplier Artis has introduced festive gold banded rims on some of its best-selling cocktail collections.

Artis is making four of its lines available with the gold banding, comprising both the gin goblet and coupe from both its Speakeasy (left) and 1924 collections, describing the glassware as set to be “a real talking point within bars” this Christmas. The ranges are said to already be customer favourites for their “retro styling” and “vintage chic”.

With social drinking occasions set to rise in the coming weeks, the firm is also offering a new punch bowl and matching 25cl tumblers which are described as “perfect for parties and Christmas entertaining”.

The Tulip punch bowl (right) was created by bartender, Robert Schinkel, who won the annual Glassology design competition by American glass company Libby, where bar staff are invited to enter their own designs with the winning design being brought to life by the firm.

The punch bowl, which is being distributed to the foodservice industry exclusively by Artis, has a capacity of four litres and is sold with a metal mixing spoon.
