A family-owned Speyside distillery has achieved five-star visitor attraction status in VisitScotland’s Quality Assurance scheme.
Benromach Distillery in Forres, which is said to attract more than 13,000 visitors a year, offers five different whisky tours as well as hosting tastings and other events. A new ‘gin experience’ for its Red Door Gin is expected to attract a further 10,000 visitors a year.
Benromach’s Susan Colville said the award is “testament to the hard work of everyone involved”.
