THE group behind the Scotts and Lido outlets is ramping up its presence in the east with the acquisition of a historic pub in Linlithgow.
Buzzworks Holdings has bought The Bridge Inn in the West Lothian town and is set to invest £750,000 refurbishing the pub before relaunching it next year as part of its House collection; it currently operates five House venues in Ayr, Kilmarnock, Stewarton, Kilwinning and Bridge of Weir.
The acquisition of The Bridge Inn, which dates from 1660, comes as Buzzworks gears up to launch its first venture in the east coast – Scotts at Port Edgar Marina in South Queensferry (pictured), which is set to open later this month.
Colin Blair, chairman of Buzzworks Holdings, said: “Branching out from the west of Scotland is an ambitious move for us, but one we are really excited to develop.”
