New look for maritime malt

Old Pulteney 18 forms part of the brand’s overhauled core range

THE firm behind Highland single malt Old Pulteney has overhauled and relaunched the Caithness distillery’s core range of whiskies.

The new range comprises Old Pulteney 12 (40% ABV), matured exclusively in American oak; Huddart (46% ABV), a peated expression of the malt; 15 year old (46% ABV); and 18 year old (46% ABV), which has been matured in a combination of American oak and Spanish sherry butts.

While the range retains the established Old Pulteney bottle design, the label and packaging have been refreshed.

Parent firm Inver House Distillers introduced the range earlier this month and it is now being rolled out across the UK and internationally. It is available from suppliers including Sutherland Brothers and Royal Mile Whiskies.
