OPERATORS in Edinburgh and Glasgow are being urged to share their views on the pedestrianisation of areas in both cities.
The City of Edinburgh Council is set to launch a public consultation next month which, among the ideas being considered, will seek views on pedestrianised streets, restrictions on ‘through’ traffic, as well as regular ‘vehicle-free’ days in both the city centre and town centres across Edinburgh.
Glasgow City Council, meanwhile, has launched a consultation seeking opinions on the permanent pedestrianisation of George Square.
