A FORMER Italian restaurant in Newhaven, Edinburgh, has been snapped up by a Dumfries-based operator.
Sasso, which was opened by first time restaurant operator Remo Margiotta, is said to benefit from its location on a busy roadside, as well as its waterfront setting.
The property can accommodate up to 120 covers across its lounge bar and dining spaces, plus a further 20 covers outside in its courtyard.
Tony Spence of Christie & Co, which sold the leasehold of Sasso from an asking price of £80,000, said with Remo Margiotta looking to sell the leasehold to focus on other business interests, an “all-round great deal” was achieved for both parties.
