AN experienced operator is said to have wasted no time in snapping up the leasehold for the Beer Café bar in Glasgow’s Merchant City.
The venue, described as “extremely well-presented”, specialises in all things beer, from international lagers to local ales, and had never been on the market before as it was created following the redevelopment of the Merchant Square building in 2002.
Graeme Smith of selling agent Smith & Clough, said: “This was an exciting opportunity within the marketplace as it had never been up for sale before.
“A buyer was found very quickly for the leasehold interest and concluded in a matter of weeks. The new owner is looking to build on what is an already thriving business within a very popular licensed circuit.”
