SINGAPORE-based hotels firm 7 Hospitality has purchased its second hotel in Scotland this year after it added a 120-bedroom hotel in Aberdeen’s west end to its portfolio.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Aberdeen Treetops on Springfield Road has a restaurant, described as popular with both locals and guests, and a range of health and leisure facilities, including a fully-equipped gym, pool and spa beauty room.
Additionally, the hotel is close to a number of restaurants, bars and golf clubs.
The deal follows 7 Hospitality’s acquisition of the 95-bedroom DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Dundee from a guide price of £5.5 million in April.
Kerr Young, director of hotels and hospitality at JLL, who advised the previous owners on the sale, said the move demonstrated a vote of confidence in Aberdeen’s hotels market from investors, following a spate of sales in the city.
