To the rural manor born

Adniston Manor
Adniston Manor has seven bedrooms.

A SEMI-RURAL guest house in East Lothian is for sale for the first time in over a decade.

Adniston Manor, in the village of Macmerry, has been owned and operated by Alan and Audrey Russell for the past 14 years.

The sale of the manor includes the original detached, two-storey property and attic, as well as a single-storey cottage extension.

Adniston Manor comprises seven en suite guest bedrooms – four in the main house, and three within the cottage.

Owner’s accommodation is also included within the main property.

Stuart Drysdale of Christie & Co, which is marketing the business for offers in excess of £1.2 million, said it “is a fine example of a lifestyle business”.

“The accommodation provided is in excellent condition throughout and no capital expenditure would be required by an ingoing operator,” said Drysdale.
